Archives Introduction
Welcome to the Tierney Clan Archives
This page gives a brief introduction to the contents of the Tierney Clans Society archives that have been compiled by the Clann Eagraí (Clan Organiser), Cahir Tierney, for the benefit of Clan Members. A special thanks must be extended to the Clan members who generously contributed financially towards the funding of the research, these were; Ben Tierney, Martin and Jayne Tierney, Doug and Mary Pouch, Jean Whittington. Without their financial support the compilation of the archives would have taken a long, long time to get to their present state.
With the help of these archives it is hoped that Clan members will be able to expand their knowledge of their family history. The files, when complete, will contain the most comprehensive database of Tierney information available anywhere. The research is ongoing and additions are, and will continue to be, made regularly. These additions are advised to all members through the quarterly newsletter. At present the archives contain;
